'Color in movement' is a series of ongoing experiments with textiles and color from plants.
I investigate what happens when the work is allowed to evolve in a fluid, organic and uncontrolled process over time.
The delicate traces and transitions of the dyeing process create abstract and poetic drawings, recognizable landscape-like expressions and swampy sensations.
For the Minitex'17 exhibitions, three works are exposed and 'started up'.
The works consist of laser-cut silk, thin wool, thick felt, spiny wood constructions, acrylics and color from plants. They are placed on podiums in birch veneer in the exhibition concept measurements of 60 x 60 cm. The textiles are printed and dyed in decoction of horsetail and the Primula Veris plant. They hang over the wooden frames, which are placed in transparent acrylics and are added floating plant dyeing on the first day of the exhibition.
The works therefore continue to evolve and change over time during the exhibition.
